I published some photos from our wildlife camera over a year ago – see prior post Wildcam Shots. My Bushnell TrophyCam died for some reason, at least in taking night photos, so they offered me a new one for a reduced rate.
Finally caught some photos of a couple coyotes in the alley – we saw one the other week eating a road-killed squirrel when driving home one late evening, so knew they were out. I published the fox photo prior but since we’ve seen them too, and because they’re so dang beautiful, I’ll re-post it. I’m so glad we have coyotes and foxes in Redlands as they do such an important job taking care of our plentiful rats. I’ll be writing about how rat poisons are affecting our predators – but that’s another subject….
For now…. some photos.
- The camera
- Documenting the raccoons that we’ve noticed are digging up some soil around our property
- Evidence that the raccoons are drinking from the pool
- One of two coyotes we’ve captured on camera in our alley
- A neighbor’s dog?
- This skunk probably doesn’t need a caption
- The mourning doves and occasional band-tailled doves hit the seed we throw down hard everyday
- Happy rabbits
- The beautiful fox from last year – haven’t documented it yet this year…
- Our squirrel friends like the leftover seed
For now…. some photos.
