[Carpenter bees] Flying around scared me so loud, lots of pops close to me. I left and came home later to find it dead on ground. Do they sting, what could have killed it, sad….
I have read that the female does have a stinger but will only sting if directly handled. They’re not aggressive. Not sure what happened to it, but you’re right that they can be very loud.
